Increased Productivity
The CNC1000 is an automatic gauging and ram control system for press brakes. It can virtually double press brake output while increasing part uniformity and reducing scrap.

Simple Programming
Programming the CNC1000 is a simple sequential process which requires no special or lengthy operator training. Automec's attention to human engineering allows the operator to use the CNC1000 with maximum efficiency and confidence.

Quick Setup
After a simple reference procedure in which both the gauge and the ram are calibrated, the CNC1000 will precisely position the gauge bar to programmed dimensions. If the metal being formed varies in thickness, temper or sheer size, dimensions can quickly be adjusted on the controller.

Progressive Forming
The gauge automatically positions for each consecutive bend. As the ram cycles, precise angle control is maintained. As the ram recover, the gauge moves to the next programmed position. The operator progressively forms each flange and angle until the part is complete. The gauge automatically returns to the first programmed position and the operator begins forming the next part.

Total System Accuracy

Any system can position accurately in a free state but "Total System Accuracy" refers to what happens when the workpiece is pressed against the gauge bar. The mechanical structure of the gauging system must be rigid enough to match the positioning accuracy of the electronics. The CNC1000 can display so you can verify that the gauge bar has not lost position.

Holding Power of Disc Brakes
Autoguage uses multiple drive systems spaced apart depending on the size of the press brake. Autogauge locks all drives in position with a holding force of 400lbs. minimum. Since competitive systems rely on the electric drive motor to hold the gauge bar in position, a force applied against the gauge causes the system to move away from the programmed dimension and can put undue load on the motor and amplifier.

Machined Gauge Bars
Gauge bars up to 11' are machined straight within .005" on the reference edge. Gauge fingers and work blocks can be moved side to side without loss of reference.

Max-Adjust Flip Fingers
Max-Adjust Flip Finger are of a heavy duty design with built-in shock protection. The graduated fine adjustment knob allows 1 ¼" of horizontal adjustment. The flip finger can be locked so as not to flip. These fingers have a fixed step with two gauging surfaces of 0.1" and 0.4".

Micro-Adjust Flip Fingers
Micro-Adjust Flip Fingers are uniquely designed to work on the die as well as far back. They are horizontally adjustable +/- .020". The gauging tip can be rotated to any of four positions to produce gauging surfaces of 1/8" or ¾". Each tip has two gauging surfaces precisely spaced 1" apart.

Seven Gauge Sizes
Automec offers a comprehensive line of seven backgauge sizes that are compatible with the CNC1000 Control. These can accommodate press brakes with 2' to 24' beds. All systems are driven by closed loop DC Servo motors using a precise position sensor with .001" resolution.
