Our standard cutters are made from tough, premium grades of tool steel. Most of our competitors also offer cutters made from better grades of tool steel but at much higher prices. We offer lower prices and premium tool steels. We also use independent heat treating specialists to ensure precise temperatures are maintained to create the optimal hardness. If the cutter is too soft, excessive wear will result, too hard, it will break. The advantage of quality materials and standards is longer tool life. The combination of quality tooling and very competitive pricing will increase efficiencies of your keyseating operations and reduce costs.
Mitts & Merrill Type Cutter
We use high grade tool steels of M42 and Vanadium to provide longer lasting cutters. Our cutters sell for about 30% less than factory tooling made from standard tool steels.
Popular sizes, including metric, are in stock for immediate delivery.
We also offer by special order, Tool bars, Feed wedges, Posts and Expansion bushings.
Morrison Type Cutter
Our standard M42 tool steel cutters are comparable to Morrison's 'Cobalt cutters'. These cutters cost a little more than Morrison's standard cutters but our customers tell us they are less expensive to use because they last longer.
Baker / Star Type Cutter
We may be the only supplier available for Baker Keyseater cutters. Star Cutter still has a limited inventory available at reduced prices but they will not make it if it is not in stock. Call us if you want their contact information. We make Baker Cutters by special order. Baker Cutters are made from vanadium tool steel.
Fromag Type Cutter
Fromag cutters are made as special order and are made from vanadium tool steel.
We also provide special cutters, wing type, extra high, radius cutters, carbide tip cutters as well as cutters for other machines. Your existing cutters can also be re-sized. Normally, delivery times for special tooling orders are relatively short.
