We freely provide information contained within our data base and information we can obtain by remote correspondence methods to companies requesting additional information for equipment listed here.
Inspection Fees
It is not uncommon for some companies, for various reasons, to be unwilling or unable to provide any information beyond what they have already provided. In such instances, Machine Tools & Automation may be able to obtain the information you require by a physical inspection.
We will charge a minimal time and mileage fee if it is necessary for us to make a personal inspection to obtain specifications or photographs on your behalf. The minimum charge is $50.00 and must be paid prior to our inspection or net 30 days with purchase order and approved credit. The fee is considered earned and payable whether or not the inspection yields the exact information you are seeking.
Refund of Inspection Fees
If your company purchases the equipment without a visual inspection by your company, our inspection fees will be deducted from the purchase price. Most equipment is sold "as is" so we highly recommend your inspection of any used equipment prior to purchase.
If your company physically inspects the equipment, we will refund 50% of our inspection fees within 30 days of the inspection. We will refund the remaining 50% of our inspection fee from our invoice if your company purchases the equipment.
